Technically, it could be LBN, but it's hardly of national importance. I just thought the headline was too offbeat to let get away. I know, I'm relying on stereotypes of the Amish.

Amish buggy carrying alcohol collides with patrol car

Four Amish youth have been arrested on alcohol-possession charges in western New York state after a sheriff's patrol car hit Amish buggy while responding to a report of underage drinking, The Buffalo News reports.

Chautauqua county deputies say several containers of alocholic beverages were found in two buggies, including the one that flipped near the town of Sherman. A passenger in the buggy suffered minor injuries.

Deputies said other buggies fled the scene, The News reports.

The buggy was hit after two of the vehicles switched lanes as the patrol car approached, the Erie Times-News reports.

Edited to add: the buggies might have been racing.

Alcohol involved in crash of Amish buggy, sheriff’s patrol car

RIPLEY, N.Y. -- A Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department patrol car collided with an Amish buggy as it was responding to a report of an underage party on Sunday at 7:15 p.m.

The Amish buggies were traveling northbound in both lanes of Clymer Hill Road in Sherman, N.Y. when the patrol vehicle approached them, said the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department.

I'm assuming that no one was talking on a cell phone or texting while driving.
