biological or adopted child prior to your marriage... and should have said so. Again, not to be critical, since it's not any of my business, but having worked with many kids over many years, it seemed odd that you referred to her as a "step daughter" something that, in some cases, might feel hurtful to the child if you thought of her that way. Sounds as if your wife and her daughter have found a really great guy in you! Best wishes to your family over the Holidays!
