(38,206 posts)of autographed Joan Jett albums were store. Everything around those albums burned, but those autographed albums did not burn. I have not tried to play them, because I am sure the heat messed up the vinyl, but I have all of them on cassette, from when cassettes were popular, and now on CD. Up until Up Your Alley, all of my Joan Jet albums were signed, one album per concert I went to until they were all signed. After that, she started signing club posters and set lists for me. I went to see her so much when I was a teenager (in 21 and old bars, no less) that I lost count of how many times I had seen her. I miss being able to go to her concerts, because she is way better live than on the records. Most bands are the opposite and suck live compared to their recordings.
I'm so glad those albums did not burn though. I was sure they did, until I went and looked. Sure enough, everything around them including the outsides of the box they were in, had burned. The box they were in was singed, but packed to tightly to let enough air in to burn the records inside, apparently. At least that was the theory I was given.
