6. I am reticent to declare victory prematurely.

It may be true that they are exercising, as the immortal Snagglepuss put it, self-inflicted Bar-B-Q (they're cooking their own goose).

But to presume that and ignore them is a fool's errand. They have immense power, often preached from pulpits across the country, and interminably from media sources, where balance is often a matter of having an argument, even if it isn't a cogent let alone an intelligent one.

Yes! They are screwing themselves. But do not count them out. What we have to do is to continue doing what we do. Shine the light on what they say, often only behind closed doors. We've had recent help in that matter. We cannot let up on that.

Plus, we have the help from their more fervent advocates. Like Focus on the Family, 700 Club, American Family Association, and all their followers on.

It's a fertile field for Democrats to harvest.
