2. You made me think back to when bush and cheney stole the 2000 election

and how awful I felt. This nightmare only got worst after 9/11 and bush/cheney destruction of the middle class, et al.

If there was a mirror to me, someone who felt awful because Obama was elected (trying to put myself into their shoes), I could see how it would be hard to reach these people with reason. Their world isn't about reason in any sense of the word. I'm talking about the right wing base, which I guess is made up the teabaggers/religious bigots and few GOP who just don't know who to support for pres. this go around. You're right they are a small group of vocal people. These are lost people. We may some day appeal to them. But, we don't have time to educate them.

The middle, indies always seem to make the difference in elections and if the democrats show up to vote like they did in 2008. I think that the GOP has so alienated every group of people that isn't a white male it's surprising that we can still feel a little doubt that President Obama could be reelected. I for one feel good about this year. They are lost people, the base is afraid and the middle is seeing the light. Will they come out to vote is the question. I don't think they have the numbers to make a difference.
