91. Falling for the Hype

The writer is falling for the propaganda. None of these shows are the normal and most people know and realize it. They take circumstances twist it to the extremes and pump out their play-doh shows, trying to manipulate the viewers that this is some how real. The real normal would make for very boring TV, it is also part and parcel to the divide and conquer wealth gap in this country.
Denigrating groups of people to caricatures makes it easier to violate them. These shows are prop ably the only way a lot of wealthy Americans even get a glimpse a poorer Americans, and it helps develop their ideas as to who they think the other people are. Much like the portrayal of African Americans on TV for decades.
Lastly the writer falls for one of the worst personal flaws, Self Righteous importance. Like she is the designated Lord of what is right and proper conduct and how others should live their lives, and that others really give a fuck what she thinks.
