119. Nobody here is saying that what the Duck Dynasty guy said is fine.

It's appalling and unforgivable.

What is being said that dumping all people from the South into a bin labelled 'white trash' is elitist horseshit. Claiming that because of what one guy said, an entire group of people should be condemned is judgemental to the point of being assinine. Each person should be responsible for their own opinion and beliefs. If that opinion is unacceptable, then that person should answer for it.

The few times I saw Honey Boo Boo and Duck Dynasty (putting Phil aside for now) are families that love one another, and stick by one another. Contrast that with the educated, successful women in the Real Housewives shows. They stab one another in the back regularly. They have been seen on the show getting drunk and beating the crap out of one another, if they aren't screaming mean things. There was one that bragged about a $20,000 pair of sunglasses. Using your reasoning, it would be fair to dump all educated, successful women (along with the author of the OP article) into a bin labeled 'drunken, vicious fakes'. Hmm....not cool, right?
