157. There are a lot of people who aren't cultured in this country

Our media goes through phases of utilizing various examples of these folks for entertainment and marketing purposes; these folks, by the way, are basically just people. All I tried to point out is that the OP has lumped the family on "Honey Boo Boo" in with the "Duck Dynasty" family because both live in the South and are not up to the cultural standards of the 1%. This is in error, Honey Boo Boo family members have shown very progressive attitudes toward gay people whereas the Duck Dynasty family is homophobic. To me that is important because at least one, very stupid show with no reason to exist, shows a Southern family that does not appear to be racist, homophobic, or held hostage by extreme religious beliefs. That aspect is refreshing.

There are also "reality" TV shows about people who get lots of tattoos, people who have loads of tattoos and rescue pit bulls, Alaskan women who go to Florida looking for men...... Just shades of America.
