10. The Last One!

Far too often many take it for granted that someone will be there to save your home from fire.save your life/property,be there in the ER,waiting for you with a hot cup of coffee on a night when you need it the most. The ones who plow your streets so you can shop,visit on the holidays are often taken for granted.
We should also thank all those volunteers that work at soup kitchens,food pantries and those who make home visits,call people each day for a safety check. Those who work hotels when parties are in full gear need recognition as well. Those parties would be a sorry state if toilets were not kept clean,canapes served,dishes washed and beds made.
There are so many people "behind the curtain" that we forget or take for granted so at least this time of year we should give them an extra smile, an extra coin in their tip jars, thank those in person when you can. Perhaps a small check to the police or firefighters funds that they use for charity or often to help widows and children after a death of one of their own.
