A few days ago, when we put up Christmas decorations, we found a newspaper from a couple years ago used for padding for the ceramic manger-scene pieces. The date on the paper was January 2012, and the lead story on the front page was Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum tying for first in the Iowa presidential caucus. It pictured them both prominently.

This morning I took some trash out to burn, and got my shoes muddy. So I used that newspaper page to clean my shoes on. It was incredibly gratifying covering Romney and Santorum with mud from my shoes!
