to avoid employing Union members by hiriing 'non professionals' and claiming there is no script to write. Much of cable TV, including the news we all love and the one we all hate are Non Union when they could be Union, that means Big Ed as well.
The reality shows would end if they got Unionized. They exist as a Union busting and Union avoiding scheme.
