You know, to protect them lest they be labeled as sluts and whores.

When I was pregnant with my first child many years ago, I went to our HR office to inquire about maternity leave. Our very conservative HR director scoffed and informed me that "we don't reward you for getting pregnant." But you know, they're very pro-life
