acknowledging that the video sparked major protests in many countries in the region which gave plenty of time to plan the Benghazi attack which happened after the other incidents.

Whether the attackers were also infuriated by the anti-Muhammed video as were the protestors in other countries is likely but not known but the regional protests sure gave them a cover reason for their attack.
