Was Manchin there to talk about energy policy? He's from West Virginia and says what the coal mine owners tell him to say.
Was Schumer there to talk about the Middle East? He's one of those sponsoring legislation aimed at undermining President Obama's peace initiatives. Or was he talking about why we should help Wall Street bankers steal our savings?
Durbin is the majority whip and will say whatever the White House wants him to say, whether it's about foreign policy (where I approve of the President's peace initiative) or health care (on which the President gets a good grade) or about domestic spying or the Trans-Pacific Partnership, where the President doesn't receive such high marks (at least not from me).

Not to mention Manchin is a DINO and Schumer is the Senator for Wall Street.
