As I said, luckily the owners were right there to grab their pits so no blood was drawn yet. But my small dogs screamed blood curdling cries. My Golden Ret started to fight back but that was stopped fast too. Other dog owners have told me of small dogs actually being killed or maimed by pits at the park though. I got lucky.
