...claimed he had very poor English. What he had, in reality, was just heavily accented English. While he preferred Spanish, he did qoite well with his English.
My wife and her brother and sisters speak English when they're together but Spanish when my Mother-in-Law is present. My Mother-In-Law's English is prety good though.
BTW, Ziggystrange, your Spanish looks to be pretty good. At least it's better than mine!

What federal law says we have to speak English? English has to be the principal language.
