3. If she's set free, it will be because the prison does not want to have to pay for her care

I look for many "compassionate releases" as the prison population continues to age.. The for-profit model will not allow for spending huge sums of money in the declining years.. The "money" is in the youthful offenders segments.

PBS did a documentary a while back about what a life sentence means to a prison when there are very old/infirm prisoners..It was something else..
