Again, I'm talking about driving with the flow, the "normal speed of traffic" as the law here indicates. If the right lane is clear, I'll drive in the right lane. If the highway is clear and I happen to be in the left lane when a faster driver comes up behind me I'll move over so he can pass.

To be perfectly clear, I don't drive in the left lane all the time, just because. I'm talking about keeping with the flow of traffic. I'm not pulling into the right lane and getting stuck behind some 60mph idiot just because I'm not "supposed to" drive in the left lane. Trips back from the mountains are a perfect example; traffic is usually fairly heavy, moving at a steady speed. You NEED travel in both lanes because of the volume, but there is always somebody driving slow in the right lane...so if you stay with the group keeping up the pace in the left lane there is far less touch and go braking and need for constant lane changing.
