Used to watch these while I was cooking supper after work:

Amos N'Andy, Burns and Allen.. I love Luigi . . .

Later, Cheers, All in the Family, Lucy, Red Skelton, Carol Bunett, Car 51, and I know I forgot some. After I read others', will probably edit this. and MARRIED WITH CHILDREN....edited to add


I can't understand why they took off Amos N'Andy. I guess it was because it made blacks look "dumb," but they were wrong. The program was genious, created by and acted by geniouses. They were lovable characters whom many of us learned to love as children, and the love remained.

There are many ethnic groups, 3 stooges, Jewish, Abbot & Costello, at least one was Catholic, Luigi, an Italian immigrant, whom it never bothered if it made their nationalities look dumb. Amos and Andy were pure delight and genious. I feel nothing but pity for those of you who were born too late to see and love this gem....
