The point is the quality of the person, not the position.

In-house Rex, the favorite of Ray, Ed, Terrell, etc. was passed over for lightly-regarded Harbaugh, not because of their resumes.

Preifer clearly has issues for a 21st Century coach. Minn would do well to head in another direction, coach-wise. Probably would do well to divest themselves of Freeman and Ponder, too. Two 6th round picks, a kicking tee and a blocking sled ought to be the asking price.

Cassell might hold it down until a draft pick is ready. Not many options offensively.

BTW, the Iggles secondary blew that year. Lito, Sheldon and Dawkins were never worse. Started 5-8. It wasn't his DB coach acumen that garnered the Raven job. Semantics.
