but I don't see any 'aaah!!1 we're all gonna die!!1' type reporting.

It's also cold and ice/snow in places that usually don't get this cold. People, infrastructure, their homes aren't completely prepared for it.

Good grief turn your tv off, if you're going to get this worked up about it.
