(8,554 posts)I'm normally a skeptic, too, but I think that this is a case of "you had to be there" to understand, meaning that Aerows casually mentioned her bite in another thread yesterday, and everyone immediately began urging her to do something, immediately.
Go read cherokeeprogressive's food poisoning thread and see how this has all progressed. Aerows was getting responses rapid-fire in there, many were dire enough to scare the living shit right out of a person, but then things became even more serious after Aerows tried to go back outside and was bitten again.
Believe it or not, but nature sometimes does go completely berserk, be it horrible disease, odd weather patterns due to climate-change, or simply self-preservation.
Maybe the care facility isn't that experienced at dealing with scares such as rabies or maybe they just have an incompetent staff. Why blame Aerows, when she actually tried to get proper treatment without panicking and ended up having a less-than-satisfactory experience?
