There are tons of folk who cannot get over the cuteness factor of a baby animal or the thrill of being "close" to wild ones. Incidents such as what has finally happened to Aerows are not that unusual. Especially if food (or previous feeding) is involved during an Arctic blast (that critter probably was freezing his little ass off and was telling her, in his own way, to give up the goods, now).
So, I am sorry that I jumped on you, too, but that still doesn't excuse the "doubting thomas" attitude that you presented earlier. If you were already aware that she'd been dealing with coons for months, you could have included that in your queries, instead of being so rudely skeptical.
