292. Do not EVER feed raccoons, no matter how tempting it may be.

Yeah...their cute little masked faces looking at you, so cute sitting there with their little paws begging...DO NOT DO IT.
If you feed them, it's just a matter of time until you have packs of them swarming at your door. Each mother will bring her entire litter of kits to get fed.
They will take over and things will get ugly, escalate and out of control quickly. Any pet you have will become competition and a threat to them and they WILL attack it.
I have seen them fight, attack and bite each other over a food source. It is nasty, ugly and really scary to watch.
They will now demand and expect food from you. If there is any delay in your feeding them for any reason, they will punish and attack you. They are like vicious, little terrorists holding you hostage in your house and if you have been feeding them, you have been the cause of this cluster-fuck. They will not just go away.
You need to trap and eliminate them. Sad, but true.
If you can't stomach the idea, then hire it done. It will take a long time to get them all but at this point you have to do it. They will never just go away on their own.
