I dislike raccoons immensely.

They are no longer "cute" when they grow up, esp. if they are the pack leader.

I saw a pack leader once on the steps to where I used to live. He had fangs and was all puffed up and mean as all hell looking.

Raccoons beat the crap out of a cat I had around this same time. She was found lying in the driveway and bleeding with numerous wounds on her.

I took her to the vet ASAP and luckily she survived this brutal attack.

Raccoons are one animal out there that I wish would just go away. They are dangerous as hell and nothing to play around with.

And yes, you are very right -- NEVER FEED A RACCOON! Once you start doing this, they will never go away. I had the damn things coming inside of my duplex if the window was left open at night and no, I was not feeding them or encouraging them one bit.

They finally went away along with the skunks after I adopted a rather mean Maine Coon kitten. I had no idea what sort of cat this was but I'll tell you one thing, he ran off every single living thing that was anywhere near his home, rats included. He was a tough old sucker known as "the bully of the block". Maybe he was a bully, but he sure got rid of those skunks, rats and raccoons. He was fearless indeed.

I hate the damn things I will admit.
