In fact, during the first couple centuries it was reproduction that was considered the bad part of sex because it produced more sinners for hell. Later, theologians like Jerome agreed that there should be an elite group of male and female virgins whose sacrifice of sexuality allowed them to be effective intermediaries between the human and the divine. But for the vast bulk of humanity, this was not the case. Adultery was a major sin because it involved breaking an oath, but fornication (sex between unmarried persons) was a minor sin, as was incest in many cases (hard to know who is a cousin in a small town with no birth records). Anyway, this guy should read Song of Solomon in the Bible.
So apart from the fact that this makes an offense out of normal human nature and physiology, there is no real basis in Christian theology for it.
