make the babies quiet and also to break the ice at the ceremony. These parents were in the Sistine Chapel and the Pope was baptizing their child. I'm sure they were nervous, and he was putting everybody at ease. This wasn't any encouragement to breastfeed. I'm not saying he would've cared if they did, but it wasn't what he was trying to get across at the moment. Jeez, this fascination with everything this guy does really gets ridiculous sometimes. Next thing you know, he'll be performing a wedding and everybody will say he's okay with adultery because the bride wore an off-white dress. It's silly, and people that do this look like fools.
