First, suggesting that our State Representatives are not also politically sullied suggests a lack of real awareness of politics in America. Second a Constitution Convention will also open the door to a range of Amendments from our friends on the right. Consider that a majority of States have Constitutional bans on Gay marriage. Are you really going to assume an attempt to overturn progress with a national ban won't be forthcoming if the opportunity for a Constitutional amendment presents itself?
