9. There used to be. Many have moved on where they can do more than just argue against right wing

talking points. I must be masochistic because I love arguing against Right Wing or Third Way, same difference, talking points.

In a way the moving on of some of DU's best Liberal voices reflects what is happening in the Real World. Have you seen the polls on how those identifying with either political party are shrinking and more and more people are identifying as Independents?

I think it's a good sign for the future actually. At one time people hoped that they could do something to influence politics by using internet forums where they could organize and meet others who were on the same side. For a while it seemed possible but once those forums became flooded with Third Wayers derailing topics, distracting, attacking, flinging insults, insulting Liberals, it was clear that it would not work. So they moved on. To other things, like OWS eg where they don't waste time arguing with anyone, they just keep on working and building and actual affecting people's lives in such a positive way, leaving the arguing to people like me, who can't resist. Lol! It's a tough job and maybe no one has to do it, but it can be fun at times.
