I feel each day some are regressing more and more in some strange 21st century metamorphosis.

My take on all of this is much of the world will move forward into the 21st century, but I think many are going to stay behind. It will be up to the technologists to pull the world forward as has often been the case, and I luckily count myself, as well as you and many others in this latter group.
