49. The risk

I enjoy smoking pot, always have. However, I do not smoke on a regular basis and on the rare occasion that I do I take a significant risk to my employment.

The company I work for has a two strike policy, the first dirty test gets you placed into a drug education program that you have to pay for and complete on your own time. The second within the next five years gets you fired. And after the first you have mandatory monthly urine screens for a year.

It just isn't worth it. The government making it legal will not make the employment drug test go away, it will be decades after that before the employment drug testing begins to relax ... by that time I will be retired, and smoking whatever I want whenever I want.
