My 8.5 month-old kitten that a co-worker rescued from the woods & gave to me a few months ago, Otis, completely trashed my kitchen for the third time last night. He keeps finding the bag of kibble. He's gotten it off the top of the refrigerator and from 2 upper cupboards. He gets into it when I'm at work or sleeping then proceeds to strew it all over the kitchen floor & dining room carpet. Half a bag of loose kibble ended up in the sink--at least it was on the side that houses the garbage disposal. He was looking right at me when I put the bag away each time. I will NEVER do that again. He's scary smart. I'm going to start putting the kibble in milk jugs, although he'll probably just grow opposable thumbs & unscrew the top, or learn how to unscrew the top with his teeth, LOL.
It's been so cold in Michigan that my 4 cats have been cuddling with me nonstop since Saturday. It's freaking awesome.
Does anyone else live with a creature of another species that's way too smart?
