He may not play with it at all .

My evil genius, though declawed when I adopted him, opens closed drawers that contain cat treats in foil bags, then chews the bags until he can get treats out. He is well fed so this is simply a hobby.

I foster for a rescue group. When a prospective adopter comes to meet a foster, my Evil Genius runs across the mantel or tries to dig into any bag the visitor happened to bring, just to ensure that he, and not the foster, is the center of attention.
