but, for a Democratic Preznit there's no sweet spot between "not recognizing our troops and valuing their contribution" and "exploiting them for jingoistic purposes." In this case, Obama got it from both ends, though no one representing a politically relevant constituency complained,
He's a grown man, comes with the territory.
There's some lack of self-awareness in the critics, though--criticizing him for allegely treating the soldier as a 'prop' and then turning around and critcizing him for not using him as a prop for an anti-war message.
the fact that the President has met the guy three times in person makes it a much different story than if the political operation had scouted up and down for a guy like that to use.
