He cuts through the babble to reveal the inanity behind most of it - for both parties. These are really messed up times politically, he has no lack of material for his craft as he exposes the shell game that is the political system 2014 - often in a pretty funny way. He is a bit like Taibbi in having some Hunter Thompson in his style.
This is a man who was around back in the days when the top tax rate was 60-90% and only a few rich cranks complained.
And now too many folks have been fooled as to who the takers really are.
