1. Yes, but this was in college many years ago (the late '60s).

I was attending a private liberal arts college in Minnesota. The roommate that was assigned to me for my sophomore year was from Texas, and she was very, very, very religious, belonging to some Bible-thumper church (maybe Southern Baptist, but I don't exactly remember). I, on the other hand, was something of a party animal, and always got the evil eye when I returned to the dorm after having imbibed or otherwise partaken. She pestered me constantly about going to Youth for Christ meetings and accepting Jesus as my personal savior. She drove me nuts. I got a different roommate as soon as the college allowed it. I don't know how she wound up there in the first place, since the school itself was quite liberal and was pretty much a hotbed for hippies, international students, reefer smokers, and Vietnam war and other protestors. During my senior year I ended up with a roommate who kept trying to fix me up with her loser boyfriend's loser buddies, but that's a whole 'nother story.
