29. Don't Forget the Right Wing Hate in the Early 1960's before Kennedy was killed

Dallas was awash in Republican right wing anger and hate, supported by wealthy Texas oilmen. LBJ and Lady Bird were attacked by Republican women two years before Kennedy was killed. These nice little ladies in their hats and gloves hit and spit on the Johnsons and they had to have police to protect them.

In 1963, a few months before Kennedy was killed, Adlai Stephenson visited Dallas and he too was attacked by right wingers, they hit him over the head with their signs.

I have been concerned about all the hyped rhetoric for some time, calling people Nazis and comparing things today with the Holocaust. Saying "you lie" to the President in the middle of the state of the union speech. I wish the Republicans had a strong leader who would step and tell these crazy people to tone it down.
