In the opening statement of the trial in July the court was told that the first victim looked up to Villiers-Farrow and spent four months living with him after being physically abused by his own father.

When the accusations were first made in August last year, investigators asked one of the victims to call Villiers-Farrow.

During the conversation, which was recorded without Villiers-Farrow's knowledge, prosecutors said he did not deny sexually abusing the boy.
