I have been feeling desperately awful over the animals. California bears are not hibernating, due to it being too warm, and there is nothing but dried mulch as far as anything for them to eat. Certainly no berries, and very little in the way of water.
Same situation for the deer, and every other critter and bird, reptile and insect.
Out in the back yard, I get absolutely screamed at by the resident squirrels if their water bowl is not filled. No water for them except what I offer.
So the rain (And even the snow earlier today!) is absolutely wonderful.
