Thousands sign petition to stop George Zimmerman's boxing match [View all]
On Wednesday, CNN reported that rapper DMX had been chosen as George Zimmerman's opponent in an upcoming celebrity boxing match.
DMX's representative set the record straight Wednesday afternoon by emailing the Orlando Sentinel and several other news outlets saying that although DMX does want to "beat" up Zimmerman, no official paperwork has been signed.
Still, thousands spoke out on Twitter and across the web calling for the fight to be canceled, especially given that the match up was announced on what would have been the 19th birthday of Trayvon Martin, the teen Zimmerman was acquitted of killing last year.
