(62,536 posts)33. Nice OP. Just saw it. Not a big fan of Jay. Especially after Conan.
He joked about being fired 3 times but if he hadn't fought for the Jay Leno Show or whatever it was called Conan probably would have had better ratings (Jay's demographic at the time was older folk, who actually turned off the TV when Conan came on; if his "pre-news pre-Conan" show didn't exist, Conan would probably still be at the Tonight Show to this day).
Otherwise, yeah, it was a really heartfelt ending and he really meant it.
