Nowhere in the article does the author use"pragmatists v. purest." The article talks about two prominent factions in the Democratic party. It does not posit that these are the ONLY factions and I think we all know that they aren't. You, on the other hand, chose to change the terminology to reflect your perception of good vs. bad by your "pragmatist (good) vs. "purists" (bad) characterization. The article makes no attempt at assign a value judgment for or against either perspective. They merely compared differences. Your response, and your subsequent word substitution to better fit your own personal agenda, did indeed, assign a value judgment (good v. bad). See the difference?
