13. Dear J.R. I am so happy to read this post today!

I read your post yesterday and felt sick and could not think of anything to write that didn't sound trite. I'm going to ignore that and just say I'm so, so sorry about your dogs. What a loss, but I guess it would be fair to say that Honey wouldn't have been good without Gus, which blunts the loss a tiny bit. I read your story to my husband, primarily because we had an 85 lb. Golden years ago named Honey. Then we got to the part about you. He sends his concern as well.

I am very happy to hear your news today and I sincerely hope the cardiologist concurs with the hospitalist. Stress from a loss can do awful things to us and your heart was already compromised a bit. I hope your blood pressure is back to planet Earth norms, that will help! I also feel for your poor wife, big time. Not to minimize your woes in any way, but she's lost two beloved dogs (like you), AND her husband's seriously ill! I can't imagine dealing with both at the same time, not to mention having severe toothaches, among the worst pain out there!! You both need a respite of some sort.

Both of you please be well soon! You've had enough already. We need good DUers like you J.R. and good fellow Wisconsinites like you both to fight off the Walker Mafia! Take care. Colleen
