(36,927 posts)Family court judges have a wide latitude on when they can deny custody, especially 20 years ago when they were even more biased against men than they are now. Allen took very little interest in his children. He never wanted them to begin with and only agreed with Mia when she promised he would have no responsibilities for them which he never accepted. Speaking of creating illusions, there were lots of reasons for him being denied custody that had zero to do with the sexual abuse allegation. If you did read the report, you would know these things.
No less than 2 doctors and all of the prosecution's experts which included a doctor and two social workers with advanced degrees concluded no sexual abuse occurred. Not that it might have occurred, but that it did not occur. No experts concluded it did happen. No experts even concluded it might have happened. That's why Allen was never so much as charged for any crime. Try as much as you want, but dems da facts. Pretending the opinion says something different than that does not make it so.
