Radio Shack was almost a second home for us back in the 80s, as my oldest boy was a Techno Geek Extraordinaire. We were in at least once a week, and the manager and clerks would just give us stuff. Need any batteries? Here's some. How about wires? Clips? And they'd toss in a pack or two.

Nowadays, you can't get anything decent in any of the local stores (which are on the verge of, if not actually closing), so we look on Amazon.
