62. I too love the Olympics..

and I don't get why people miss the whole idea of the olympics (nations who normally don't see eye to eye coming together to compete in sport in the grandest of competitions). Nations that are at war, nations that deceive each other, nations with outrageous unfair laws, nations who are friends and enemies). That is the reason for the Olympics. We in the US look like petulant children in the eyes of the world at the moment.

As far as US coverage goes...we have one channel (MSNBC) this year that bids on the Olympics and gets exclusive rights to make a fortune off it while showing very little coverage.

Russia on the other hand has the Olympics on 8 HD channels with multiple sports each day covered in every way. If you were an alien arriving new on this planet which country would look more free to you. I'm thinking the one with the "choice" of 8 HD channels for half the price.
