Because we've been getting the real stuff. Schools were late again this morning (for the 2+" that fell late yesterday) and I'm anticipating them being late or cancelled on Thursday, which butts up against 2 already scheduled teacher in-service days. My son will get a 5 day weekend. Kids in MD/DE/PA are going to be going to school until July.

In reality, have any of you ever played with the 'fake' snow you add water to? You
can get it at places like Spencers in the chotsky aisle. I picked up two small containers for the kids this xmas. It expands a bunch, it feels cold to the touch, it's reusable. The only downside is that it doesn't compact -- like you can't make a snowball out of it. Not much point in it, but it's neat to mess with.
