I was expecting only another can of strawmen. They know that only misstating what I said one or two times isn't very effective, so a few will do it over and over to make a sufficiently-big-enough-looking (i.e. they just can't believe what an egregious thing I said, oh my!) clusterfuck out of it. It's standard procedure. I don't bother rebutting all of the strawmen because it's simply a waste of time. I just do it once maybe twice, and then let them agree with each other in their echo chamber after I'm done. Thinking people get what's going on, the rest don't or won't, it's that simple.

Btw, I'm a woman, who often disagrees with this cast of commenters, so I'm used to it.

But even so, it's still always good to meet a gutsy DUer somewhere in the pile on, especially one who'll step in for the reason you gave. Thank you, BellaKos!
