(21,786 posts)11. I suspect that people will look back at the winter of 2013-2014...
as the point when the consequences of climate change began to really manifest. The drought in California and the Southwest, the polar vortex and heavy storms in the Eastern US, the heavy rains and flooding we've had here in the UK for the past month? That's all connected; that's all the result of climate change, and it's probably going to get worse no matter what we do (which for the most part has been "nothing", for the past 30 years or so).
