He knocked on the door to let me know I'd left my headlights on. It occurred to me this morning, he could have been risking his life. He could have figured it wasn't worth the risk. My car wouldn't have started this morning.
In this case, we'd interacted before, and he could feel safe enough, but if he didn't know me better...
